Christmas Gifts

This year with our lack of a bank account, we decided I would paint pics of all the kids. I had so much fun doing it..maybe I'll start a paint shop in my house!

Happy New Year!!!

Melissa and the kids came up to celebrate, and after an exhausting week working on the house (I felt like Sleepy AND Grumpy) we had an awesome party that culminated in a New Year's celebration, at 7:35 pm. Seriously, we have a LOT of small children when you put us together :)

I know "Where the Wild Things Are"

I got brave and took all four kids to the Drive-in last night. I did have the forethought to bring Ashley and Branden (friends and babysitters) along for the help. the kids were really excellent, except for one incident in the bathroom with a potty-training Noah :) I decided that I like my Wild Things best.

MAMMOTH!

Had an awesome trip with the Vaages to Mammoth! We went on like a zillion hikes to these gorgeous places and then we woke up to get ready to go, and it was snowing! It was so awesome, and we had a really great time playing spoons and Pit...not to mention Phase Ten (Skip Thomas!). Here we are in the condo (thanks Chris!) and the boys at the Devil's Postpile.

Why couldn't he like sign language?

At a recent trip to grandma's, Owen was able to take a swing at grandma's full size set of drums. From down the hall, it sounded like grandma was playing (this is a compliment to Owen, not an insult to you mom). He was rocking away and decided of all the extra curricular activities that are available to a boy of 5, drums was his choice. I should be happy he's not into airplanes or explosives right?

Wrightwood Music Festival

Grandma Carolee took us out in the Jeep to the Wrightwood Music Festival. The boys did the robot to a Zydeco band, and we all enjoyed the fresh mountain air.
P.S. Don't you just love my grumpy little nephew :)

Book License

With all that reading homework (hello Kindergarten) we decided it was high time to get Owen a Library card. Our foray into the world of loaner books was just what I thought it would be...Awesome. Owen picked his books and sat quietly while I perused the "Mommy Section." After I was finished choosing, I said "Okay, let's go" and Owen said "They are letting us take these books HOME? They are so NICE here!" When we got home, he ran to Thomas; "Daddy! I got a Book License!" Gotta love it.
